  • As an Electronics Assembly Technician at PK, you will be instrumental in maintaining the high quality of our products and contributing to our ongoing success.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform assembly duties as assigned by the Production Manager.
  • Install parts and pre-assembled components, test finished products, and package goods according to established procedures.
  • Follow assembly safety procedures and proper use of tools to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Maintain effective communication with coworkers and the Production Manager.
  • Report daily activity in the ERP system.
  • Ensure the quality of assembled products, perform quality checks, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain and improve productivity and contribute to time study activities.
  • Maintain a clean, clear, and safe workstation, with a focus on 5S principals and setting an example for all other Operations team members.
  • Assist with any other tasks as assigned by the Assembly Lead Hand or Production Manager, to ensure the success of the teams and our customers.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU'LL NEED

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in an electronics manufacturing environment; CM, OEM or similar.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and assembly instructions.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and digital Work Order processing.
  • Basic Computer networking skills and the ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Manual dexterity, good hand-eye coordination to assemble small parts, solder, and use of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to execute electronics failure assessment and related repairs.
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing principles, quality control processes.
  • Experience in electronics technology or a related industry.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

EDUCATION & OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Post-secondary education in electronics or a related field is an asset.
